Dream Dresses

The thought of spending thousands of dollars on a wedding dress is slightly abhorrent to me. Seriously, for the price of some girls' gowns I could rent out a venue! But, that does not stop me from drooling over couture gowns. I refuse to try on dresses that are out of my price range. I know I'll fall in love if I do and then be heartbroken when I can't have the dress. That also isn't going to stop me from posting those gorgeous dresses here!

The first dress is my dream dress. Yes, it's floofy. But it's artistically floofy! It's also more than $7,000! And I looooove it.

Yes, those are GIANT roses. Love it! 

Dress #2 is a Vera Wang dress I saw in a magazine. I don't know how much it costs, but it's probably over my budget. It was also in the 2009 collection so it's not likely even in production anymore.

It's so glamorous and artsy!
The model, however, may kill you in your sleep.

The third dress is the only one that I may actually try on. There's a local bridal shop that carries the designer and some of the shop's dresses are in my price range. I have to call the store to find out if it is too. Wish me luck!

EDIT: I called the shop. The dress is $3,500. Looks like I won't be trying this one on. So sad!

I love the sash too. I wish it had pockets!

I haven't given up on the pocket dress, the one from Michael's but I think I'd like to go to one more shop, just in case. If I can't top the pocket dress it will probably be the one.

Eeep!

Color Inspiration

Here are some of the colors I want to incorporate into the wedding. The main colors will be red and black with a dark teal and silver as accents. And by teal think peacock feathers, not the Jaguars! 

Bridesmaids, please keep these colors in mind and think about which color(s) you'd like to wear.

Hello ladies! If you're reading this blog it means that I think you're super cool and want your help and opinions in regards to my upcoming nuptials! We've got a little more than a year to get all of this together and I'm sure I'll need all of your help! Let me just say thank you to all of my bridesmaids right now for agreeing to go on this journey with me. I love you all! And if you're not a bridesmaid, well, I love you too!

Eventually once I've gotten everyone on board I hope to be able to give everyone posting access so you can share your ideas here if you see something that you think would be awesome for the wedding. Try not to post stuff just for laughs. If you want to do that you can always post to my FB wall. I'd like to keep this blog wedding business only.
